SANTIAGO it’s a superb surf casting rod designed and built for the fisherman who wants to get to the next level up in beach long distance fishing. Light and strong at the same time, the rod is built using saltwater resistant materials and is fitted with high quality FUJI® ALCONITE SIC rings suited for both mono and braided lines.

It is a high-end rod built for the most discerning fisherman, very powerful (ideal loading at 170g) and super easy to handle during casting and retrieving.

Reliable and robust rod is ideal with multiple situations, from a decidedly light action in calm sea-waters, to a hard action in strong waves, on high energy beaches.

Ideally suited for natural baits used from the beach, COLMIC® SANTIAGO blends one-of-a-kind balancing, excellent robustness and amazing performance all in an ultra slim diameter. Perfectly suited for fishing with natural baits it excels with the “ground cast” technique but can be also used using a side cast move.

COLMIC®'s PRO FORCE U.L.A.F. is a special process of stratification that creates a superfine membrane (or foil) of carbon composed of fibers arranged in three different directions. This particular orientation and the exclusive high-density Filler Inside resin (already utilized for the impregnation of the Ultra-Light Aerospace Fiber carbon) yields greater flexibility, reducing the weight that was previously required to boost the shock-absorbing capacity.

Because of its sensitive, but strong blank, COLMIC® SANTIAGO performs best when targeting big fish such as sharks, rays, big salmon, mulloway, kingfish or other predators using live bait, crabs or pilchards up to 150-200g (including lead). But it easily handles any species such as bream or whiting and mullet past the breakwaters.
